featured in the On-The-Net section of the Greenville News on Wednesday July 15, 1998. The
News article highlighted the various pages and features found on the Web Site.
HOW TO GET THE MOST - OUT OF ATTENDING CHAPTER MEETINGS:
Preview the Topic: Know what the meeting topic is and be prepared to ask
questions.
Set Goals: Determine what you want to achieve in terms of information and
contacts.
Volunteer to be a Speaker: Contact your chapter and offer to serve as a
panelist or speaker.
Networking: Offer a ride to a friend, be prepared to discuss a problem that
needs solving, or some information you are in need of.
Get Information: Ask questions, take handouts if available, share your
learning's with your colleagues.
Exchange Business Cards: Local meetings give you the edge both
intellectually & professionally. Its a great place for networking.
Take Notes: Be sure to take notes so that you can share what you have
learned with your boss & co-workers.
Maintain Contacts: Keep in touch with fellow members ..... they can be a
good resource for advise and opinions when implementing a new program or project.
